Friday, 13th September, the Regents of the University of Colorado appointed Professor Carole Newlands University Distinguished Professor.

The title "Distinguished Professor" is the highest honor that the University of Colorado bestows on its own faculty members. This title is extended to a very limited number of honorees chosen from all four university campuses to recognize the outstanding contributions of tenured faculty members to their academic disciplines. Many congratulations, Carole! It is great to see the university recognize the value of your work in this way.
